Ministries Within Reach

Nursery Ministry
Child care is provided for children ages 0-3 years on Sunday morning and ages 0-4 years on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. The nursery consists of two separate rooms. One for infants ages 0-18 months and the other for toddlers ages 19 months - 4 years.
The nursery staff at Colebrookdale Chapel is caring and committed to providing a safe environment for your children. We are also mindful of the importance of godly influence and instruction. The children are taught to be kind, polite, and responsible in an age appropriate manner.
When old enough, children are encouraged to share toys, use manners while at the snack table, and clean up after themselves. Each Sunday morning, the toddlers are taught a Bible lesson, sing songs about God, and make crafts that go along with what they are learning.

Church Bible Study
Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned student of the word of God, there is something to be gained at the weekly church Bible Study.
Currently we are studying the book of 1 Corinthians. In this book, we are confronted with the issues of this first century church and realize we have many of the same struggles in our own lives.
This study will challenge you, stretch you, and help you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. If you are looking for the best way to grow in you spiritual life, a way to grow more like Christ, there is no better way than to dive deep into God's word. The church Bible Study provides an excellent place to do this.

The church Bible Study meets every Monday night at 7:00 PM and is taught by Pastor Leslie. You will be afforded Bible training at an "evening institue" level. (Don't let that turn you away, it just means we are getting the highest quality teaching around.)

Hope to see you there, and bring a friend!

Maranatha Bible Study
Hello, we are Maranatha Bible Study. We meet together the first Thursday morning of every month at 10:00 AM for a time of fellowship around God's word and in song.
We also enjoy a light lunch together.

"Come and enjoy a time of great fellowship and blessing with others of like precious faith!" -Jack Snyder

Ministries of Outreach

Zoe Kids
John 10:10 "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Zoe is a greek word that means life. It is the quality of life that only Jesus can give. Our goal is to see each child come to know Jesus in a personal way and experience the life changing power He gives. Our ministry is multicultural. We believe in the value of each child whom God has created. Our staff has great dedication and love for children. We have an excellent child to staff ratio which allows for personal interaction and discipleship. We maintain the practice of having two adults present with children at all times.

Zoe Kids is for children 3 - 12 years old. We meet each Thursday night 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. during the school year. Our preschool, primary and junior classes have Bible based teaching which includes a lesson and memory verse each week. Our music provides a time of praise while enhancing the children’s understanding of God. Each evening the children enjoy games and snacks. All are welcome to join us. We hope to see you soon!

Word Of Life Teen Club
Here at Colebrookdale Chapel we have been blessed with the longest running Word of Life affiliated program in the world. We have touched the lives of over 5,000 teens. Over the years, we have seen many teens come to know Christ as their personal Savior and grow through the various areas the program has to offer; including quiet time, lessons, drama, puppets, singing, Christian services, etc.

Each Thursday we get together to share a time of fun and fellowship while learning God’s word. The evening includes lesson time, singing time, snack time, game time, and special events on occasion. We have all-night events for the youth from time to time and attend a winter camp and a summer camp in Schroon Lake, New York.

Shut-in Ministries
The Shut-in Committee serves God by ministering to our older members, with the help of the congregation. We provide transportation to the grocery store, doctor appointments, etc.

We visit many of our shut-ins throughout the year. These visits are wonderful times of fellowship and reminiscing. We occasionally sing from our hymnbooks and usually pray for each other.

In December the congregation donates fruit and baked goods to be put into baskets for our shut-ins. We ask for all who are able to come Christmas Caroling with us and deliver the fruit baskets and Christmas cards. We all have a wonderful time and the shut-ins enjoy the caroling and the visit.

Another part of our ministry is Adopt-a-Friend. This is a connection between those in the congregation and someone on our ministry list. It involves making a commitment to help one individual or couple with any of the following: sitting with them in church if they are alone, having them over or taking them out for their birthday or holidays, transportation when needed, odd jobs they may need help with, visiting them when they are sick, checking on them in extreme weather and praying for them.

All of our Shut-ins enjoy visits. If anyone is interested please contact any of our committee and you may join us on our next visit or you may visit on your own.

"Bread" Ministry
The bread ministry is an opportunity to give assistance to some large families, low income families and families who are struggling for various reasons.

It began with pickup and delivery with one individual which soon developed into a far larger opportunity.
More people were asked to help and they took off with the responsibility of picking up the baked goods. This developed into more volunteers who have been faithful in giving their time to bag up the baked goods for each family.

We have gone through a few changes and finally are settled with Tuesday and Wednesday pick up and deliver to over thirty families, five church ministries and what is leftover goes to either the Cluster or to another church or an apartment complex.

Van Ministries

What is the Van Ministry?

The Van Ministry is about people. By offering a ride to our church, those who would not be able to come otherwise, may take advantage of the various ministries here at Colebrookdale Chapel.
Transportation is provided for Sunday morning services, Teen Club and Zoe Kids. Safety is a great priority on the vans. We make sure each passenger is properly buckled and appropriate safety seats are used for all children. Because God has given us a passion for people, we reach across cultural barriers to serve all who desire to come. As we minister in our community, God is changing lives.
